Back on May 11, 2013, The Arcitype dropped "Evolution", a 10-track beat tape produced in under 8 hours at the Annie Mulz storefront in Boston, MA. Fran-P has taken that beat tape and turned it into the album, "Mutation". Writing and recording each song in the same order The Arcitype had produced them, Fran-P knocked all 10 beats one by one in roughly a 2 month period.
AR Classic Records and Fran-P are now proud to present you with "Mutation" as a free download.

AR Classic Records is proud to announce the debut release by Remains, an emcee/producer duo made up of Andrew Milicia and Lightfoot.
The groups inception began in October of 2012 after Lightfoot sent several beats to Milicia. It didn’t take long for the two artists to recognize a chemistry, and they began work as the MC/Producer collective Remains. They have completed their debut EP 'Ei8hty Se7en' a free 10 track project we are proud to be presenting to you.
While “Remains” is a new collaboration for both artists, Milicia and Lightfoot have been at work building their own paths. With projects like 'Enders' and 'The Bedroom Tape', Milicia’s buzz has been growing as he continues to put out music. Lightfoot is coming off his debut instrumental release 'The Rudimentals', which received attention and accolades from sites like DJBooth and SYFFAL.
Milicia’s honest "I am who I am" approach to his lyrics, blended with Lightfoot’s detailed and evocative production make for a unique sound, fit for a very wide range of listeners. 'Ei8hty Se7en' is an all original project that mixes their boom-bap influences with a contemporary synth based sound.

Message from Waters:
"During times of hopelessness, music has been the most inspirational and uplifting source of impetus in my life, especially Hip Hop. Its potential extends in all directions and its messages are powerful. I grew up in the city living the street life, at times even homeless, but these experiences have made me feel responsible for taking music in a positive direction, rather than fuel the fire of violence. As a healer, I communicate messages of hope, peace, and enlightenment with massage and music. My goal is to develop a self-sustaining off the grid community using Earthship (www.EARTHSHIP.com) designs for artists, healers and anyone willing to live more harmoniously with the environment. The hardships I survived are minor compared to whats happening on a global scale. Food and water shortages, climate change, and debilating poverty due to mismangement of resources are a threat to our existence. This is the opportunity to take my healing mission to the next level, not only by helping individuals but communites and the environment as well. Together we can bring Hip Hop into a better light and propel our species to greater heights. I will be doing training courses and onsite internships helping build Earthships for other families and disaster relief victims. I encourage you to do the same so we can work side by side on this project. I will also continue my education in the healing arts learning herbal medicine and more advanced body work to go with my Orthopedic Massage certification. A blog will be created and I will video document as much of this as possible so you can see this epic journey unfold and you can post to it as well. On this blog I will be setting up a kickstarter-like donation system so everyone can access it and to enlist the help of everyone for a project even greater. With the help of your donations this massive goal can become reality. This is one of many campaigns to come to boost awareness and raise much needed support not only for finaces but man power as well. This is a unique challenge with many components requiring innovative solutions not easily detailable in the beginning but will become more clear and communicable as support is acquired. However, the big picture is easy to see, we need land, materials, educated builders and great minds to help tie it all together. Remember its important that we get as many people involved as possible so even if you cant make a donation, spreading the word is just as good. Thank you for love and support"
This past Saturday, The Arcitype set up his portable studio inside the doors of Kyoto Jungle, a local clothing boutique run by the clothing brand Annie Mulz. For 8 hours, The Arcitype got busy producing a completely original 10-track beat tape.
It contains no samples. All parts were played and/or recorded and all the beats were conceptualized and created on the spot in the store.
This tape is brought to you by Annie Mulz, AR Classic Records and The Arcitype.
Between 2006 & 2008, Carolina Black (at the time known as “Merc Love”) and The Arcitype put together the makings of their debut album, ‘A Window In Time’. Due to some personal issues, the album was shelved. By the time the two got back to work again, The Arcitype was no longer sampling and the two decided the album felt stale to them. They began working on what later became Black’s debut album ‘The Key of Black’. The two have decided it's now time to put this album out for the people and give them a glimpse at
A Window In Time.
